DOT collection
A regulated collection performed to 49 CFR Part 40, on the federal chain of custody and control form, for pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up testing. The procedure and the form are set by the rule, not by you and not by us.
Non-DOT collection
A workplace collection under your own written policy. You set the panel, the cut-offs and the reasons for test; we apply the same collection discipline and documentation. It is not a DOT test and must never be recorded as one.
Collection site for C/TPAs
We act as the local collection site for a consortium or third-party administrator running someone else's programme. You hold the pool, the selections and the employer relationship; we collect and return complete paperwork to you.
